At Jomar Electric, Safety Is Everyone’s Responsibility. That’s why our motto is “Safety Starts With YOU”. From the company ownership, to the newest employee, we recognize the inherent potential risks at each and every construction jobsite and make it a company policy to take every available safety precaution.
As Jomar standard operating procedure, all new employees must attend new hire company safety training BEFORE working at any Jomar jobsite based on OSHA rules and regulations. Regularly scheduled classes are given to Superintendents, supervisors and front-line employees and include electrical, excavation, fall protection, lockout / tagout and both the 10- and 30-hour OSHA Outreach Construction courses. Additionally, our onsite Superintendents receive Train-the-Trainer certification to certify our employees at each jobsite in aerial lift and forklift operation (when necessary). Jomar Superintendents also receive CPR & First Aid Certification. Jomar produces training and safety programs for every job, designed around OSHA standards and commonly accepted safe practices in the construction industry. We also have a Positive Behavior Based Safety Incentive Program.
Texas Mutual has recognized Jomar Electrical Contractors' commitment to safety with a Texas Mutual safety trophy for 2016. This is an exciting accomplishment for us. Only .3% of Texas Mutual policy holders receive this award. We were selected because we are committed to safety; we provide the resources necessary to protect our employees from workplace hazards-which is reflected in our safety record. Safety is a core value for Jomar Electrical Contractors.
